Sweet & Tangy Beef
Ok, so it's not the prettiest stuff in the world, but it sure is tasty! It basically arose from wanting to make this recipe but not having any meatballs handy! I actually like it better this way than the original!
2lbs ground beef, browned
2 bell peppers (I usually use 1 red and 1 green but I didn't have any green ones today!)
1/2 cup ketchup (as you can see, I use organic)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sucanat
1/4 cup onion soup mix
1 can crushed pineapple (with juice)
Mix all in a casserole dish and bake at 350F for an hour. Serve over rice or potatoes. Perfect to make in advance and keep warm for Shabbat!
