Homemade Neocitron

Nothing beats a hot steamy mug of Neocitron when I'm sick, unless of course it's a hot steamy mug of HOMEMADE Neocitron! Then my relief doesn't come packaged with a bunch of nasty chemicals along with it! Plus it's so easy to make!

1- squeeze some honey into a mug, about a tablespoon or so. I don't bother to use expensive raw honey for this as it's going to be mixed with boiling water. I save the good stuff for ANOTHER cold remedy I'll tell you about in a moment.

2- Squeeze some lemon juice in there (a couple tablespoons worth.

3- Add boiling water and stir until dissolved.

4- Add 20 drops of echinacea tincture (try to find a brand that uses the fresh plant, including the root if you can. I use Echinaforce by A. Vogel.)

Make sure you inhale the steam as it cools to help loosen congestion. Drink one mug, 3 or 4 times a day. If you want, add a tablespoon of whisky or brandy to your mug before bedtime to help you sleep.

BONUS: To help ease a sore throat or cough, simply mix a teaspoon or so of RAW honey (unfiltered is best IMO, I get this brand from Wegmans.) and a little cinnamon (maybe 1/8 -1/4 of a teaspoon) and take off the spoon. Take as needed throughout the day.
