I like to take a detox bath at least once a week, but sometimes things just get too hectic and I have to be satisfied with a quick shower. I also like to exfoliate my skin from time to time, especially my feet, so I decided to combine the two! I used some of my favourite skin softening and detoxifying ingredients to make a foot and body scrub! In the shower I'll hop in, let the heat and steam open up my pores, slather this stuff all over and let it sit for a few minutes then wash it off. If my feet need a little TLC I'll give them a good rubbing with the scrub, sit down with my feet up (and resting on a towel) for half an hour then follow with a nice hot soak.
Simply mix together
- 2 cups epsom salts
- 1 cup coconut oil (remember that coconut oil solidifies at low temperatures, so be sure to let the hot water run a while when using this in the shower)
- a few drops of lavender essential oil.
That's it, luxurious and relaxing!
